Argentina has a very rich culture. As of today, Argentina has currently over 40 spoken languages, but the main language spoken is Spanish. In Argentina, people eat pasta, sausages and desert appetizers, as well as empanadas and locro. An empanadas is a stuffed pastry and locro is thick stew consisting of beans, corn, meat, bacon, gourd and onion. Other popular foods in Argentina are chorizo (pork sausage), facturas (pasty) and dulce de leche (milk jam). Also wine is a huge part in Argentina's culture and economy, currently the 5th most wine producing country in the world. Soccer (or Football) is the most popular sport in Argentina and there are about 330,000 registered football players. The country is also famous for its theaters, including the Teatro Colon, a well known theater for its opera and classical performances. Lastly, the Tango is Argentina's national music symbol, which could be either danced or sung.
